Senior Management Guide
This guide is created to help those who have just been promoted into the Senior Management division. Upon entering the SM division, there is a mandatory training, along with a Trial SM task that will help SM members with their newfound responsibilities in the division. There is also a Code of Conduct task that must be completed in order to be promoted into the next division. This three-part guide will walk you through the Trial SM task and your two new abilities, which are:
Trial Senior Management Task
In order to prepare newly promoted SM members for the various disciplinary encounters that will take place in their HIA career, the trial task features an exposure to the ability of approving disciplinary logs.
Code of Conduct Task
To help members of SM better understand the Code of Conduct, there is a task that highlights some of the more often misunderstoof rules in HIA. This task will improve SM members' understanding of the Code of Conduct and how to keep a watchful eye on conduct in HIA and approving disciplinary logs.
Both of the tasks can be found below:
http://tiny.cc/HIASMTask
The Senior Management trial task must be completed by all Trial SM rank holders in order to be promoted. However, it is only optional to those that buy past the rank.
Approval of Disciplinary Logs
As a PS+ member, you’ve just been enforcing the Code of Conduct at HIA and logging disciplinaries for breaking the Code of Conduct on portal, but as of the SM division, you are now allowed to approve disciplinary logs against other members who are found breaking the Code of Conduct or displaying any other types of inappropriate behavior. The Senior Management division and above (SM+) may approve warnings/strikes/fires that are logged on the portal.
However, they may not approve disciplinary logs for a person in the same division as them or higher (for example, an SM member can not approve a disciplinary log against another SM member). When you are approving a disciplinary log, YOU the approver, MUST BE 1 DIVISION HIGHER than the person logging the disciplinary. You are not allowed to approve any of your own warnings/strikes/fires with special exceptions to those who are 4iC+ and above.
Below are the steps for handling disciplinary reports and approving the disciplinary log:

When your PS is logging a promotion on the portal on your behalf, they should do so under their own portal account and add "Promotion on behalf of ______" in the comment section of the promotion log. You are not allowed to approve any of your own warnings/strikes/fires with special exceptions to those who are 4iC+ and above.
Below are the steps for handling disciplinary reports and approving the disciplinary log:
- When an individual comes up to you to get an approval for a disciplinary, make sure to ask them for the details of the whole situation from their perspective. Skip this step if you are involved in the situation and the situation details are already clear.
- Have them send you a full screenshot clearly showing the Code of Conduct violation as proof via Slack. The person should upload the screenshots to an image sharing website such as Imgur and send you the link on Slack so you can add it as proof to the disciplinary log on the portal. Reminder: Slack links are not valid as evidence and should NOT be used in the screenshots portion of the disciplinary log. Screenshots are mandatory to log any warnings/strikes/fires. Take your own screenshots if you are involved.
- Look through the evidence/screenshots and evaluate the situation. Using proper judgment, if you believe there is enough evidence to prove that it is indeed a violation of the Code of Conduct, you can give your approval for the disciplinary. If you are logging the disciplinary yourself, make sure to get an approval from someone that is 1 division HIGHER than your current division. If you are ever confused about what type of disciplinary measure should be taken and given to the offender, request for help from either an LA member, CoS member, or any elective.

After clicking the Profile settings, you may add your Personal Secretary’s name and press the “Save Changes” button.
Here are some important things you need to know about hiring a PS
- There are different ways in which one can go about hiring a PS. The usual ways are creating a Google Form and posting it on Slack under the #general PS Application thread. Those who are interested will apply and you can freely choose whoever is best fit for you. You may do interviews to find out more about them. Lastly, you can simply ask someone if they are interested in being your PS.
- Your PS will have the ability to promote workers up to your current promotion limit (even if it exceeds the PS’s own promotion limit.) When a PS is promoting on behalf of you, they should inform the person they are promoting that the promotion is on behalf of their boss. They will need to add in the comment section of the promotion logs : “Promo on behalf of (your habbo username).”. However, you MUST be in base at the time of the promotion.
- A PS can also aid their bosses in completing any task that is HIA-related including SU tasks. Your PS has the right to refuse any tasks that aren’t HIA-related or they aren’t comfortable in doing. Keep in mind that you cannot allow your PS to do a task without you participating or assisting them in some way.
- How you show your appreciation to your PS is entirely up to you. The common practices is paying your PS once a week for a job well done. Other options (such as buying them HC or ranks) are possible too. You are not obligated to pay your PS. It should be an agreement between both of you regarding if you will pay them or not.
