MOD Stand Guide
What is the MOD stand?
- It is a privileged location for making announcements, calling members to CTH (Clear the Halls), as well as controlling all operations that happen at base, predominantly during peak times in which there is a need for a Moderator+ to exert commands.
- It also serves the function of a good control tower for queues that form at base, such as pay lines, pay bonus lines and promotional lines, ensuring that all members are following the line and that everything runs smoothly for those at the front serving as payers and/or promoters.
- For such endeavors, cutters can be easily spotted, in addition to those members seen idling either at work stations or at the lines they are forming. In such cases, a bouncing of the member in question shall be requested.
- The MOD stand could also be used to announce HIA related things, such as SU Team updates, Events, Football matches, etc.
DO’s of the MOD stand:
- Use yellow coloured chat for IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS ONLY.
- Call commands, such as CTH, when required. Please be sure to only call CTH when 10+ people are in the hallway or a payer is asking for your assistance with pay.
- If there are any stations that require to be filled, i.e. FTHD, while you are serving at the MOD stand, these stations take priority and should be filled by you if no one else is able to. The MOD stand shall be used as a last resort only.
- Before a pay line is called, assist the payer in calling CTH. Your job is to get agents to FTF, security to FTS, trainers to FTT (if they are willing to train while pay goes on) OOA+ to FTHD, and the rest to cafe area. Remember you must get everyone to clear the hallway for pay line to be called.
- Don’t forget that the MOD Stand is there to announce any sort of important information our members must know.
- Keep an eye out for line cutters and people who don’t qualify for pay. This saves the payer a lot of trouble, and keeps the line moving smoothly. Feel free to ask members to move to the back of line if they present any kind of misbehaviour.
- During a pay line, remind others of the rules for getting paid, to request vouchers if they got disconnected and the payban system. Something along the lines of:
- “Please, ensure you have a minimum online time of 60 minutes to get pay.”
- “If you disconnected and have an online time under 60 minutes, get 3 people to vouch for you if they have witnessed you working in base.”
- “Please stay for at least 30 minutes after pay is over. Leaving early will result in a payban.”
DONT’s of the MOD stand:
- Don’t abuse your power. Be respectful and considerate when calling commands. Remember, your role at the MOD Stand is to make sure people know where they should be whenever there is disorganization at base. You must not boss others around.
- DO NOT call members out on the MOD Stand. If there is an issue or anything happening with another member, please whisper them.
- Because of the great amount of attention the MOD stands gets from other members, ensure that its usage is only related to working affairs. This is not a station to chat with friends, make jokes, chill at base or seek any form of attention from others.
- Please keep payline messages minimal and do not spam them.
- Don’t use the MOD stand for personal announcements or for any other type of things, unrelated to HIA and its affairs.
- Those standing on the supervising spot should really be focusing on their duties and not socialising.
