Personal Secretary (PS) Guide
What is a PS?
A Personal Secretary (PS) is someone who helps their boss with jobs and tasks within HIA. Jobs include, but are not limited to: interviews, SU work, trainings, etc. Please note that at no time is your PS to do your work without you participating and/or assisting in completing said task.
When can I have a Personal Secretary?
You are allowed to hire a Personal Secretary once you have reached the Senior Management division. All Personal Secretaries must be High Rank or higher.
How can I become a Personal Secretary?
The most common way to become a Personal Secretary is through the "Looking for a PS" thread that is pinned each week on the #general channel in Slack. People looking to hire a PS will post an application or a note to contact them. Sometimes people will approach you in base and ask for you to become their Personal Secretary. Keep working hard and you will catch the attention of other members!
Can I be a PS for more than one person?
Unfortunately, you aren't allowed to work for more than one person. If at anytime you wish to retire from your current boss, please advise him or her, along with leaving any badges that would connect you to being a PS.
Do I have to put my bosses tag / name in my motto?
Yes, because you will be representing your boss, your boss will inform you of what to include in motto.
Do PS’s acquire a special badge to wear?
Certain members of staff may give you an office or PS badge to keep on your profile. It is the choice of your boss whether or not he or she would like to provide you with a badge. Please note that badges are not to be worn in HQ. Only badges made by Foundation members can be worn in the HQ.
How will I know if someone has a PS?
Apart from the display on each of the mottos of the boss and PS, Personal Secretaries can be found on portal. Some people also choose to display their boss or PS's name in their Slack profile.
How do I add my PS to my Portal?
First, open up your Profile Settings in Portal by clicking on the "settings" button located at the bottom of your stats section on the Portal homepage (the section with your avatar's head on it).
The fourth field in the "Edit Settings" page will ask you to enter the name of your Personal Secretary. Please enter their Habbo username in this field.
After the settings are saved, anyone can view the information by viewing anyone's profile through the "Employee Profiles" tab in Portal.
Do I get paid if I’m someone’s PS?
Your boss may choose to pay you with credits, HC, or other things on Habbo. However, they are not required to pay you at all.
What steps do I take if my boss leaves HIA?
You will need to remove any reference to working for your boss from both your Habbo motto and your Slack profile. Be sure to leave any badges that display you’re a Personal Secretary of a member that is no longer with HIA.
