The Habbo Account Safety guide is designed to help you secure your account and educate you on the best ways to ensure your Habbo and HIA account information remains private and safe. The following steps should be taken to protect your Habbo and HIA accounts:
The Safety Lock
The Safety Lock is designed to keep your account in your hands only. By enabling the safety lock you are putting a barrier between a hacker and your account. Here’s how it works:
Setting up the Safety Lock Click settings > Character Settings > and from there click ‘Account Protection.’ Then click ‘TURN ON SAFETY LOCK.’ You will then be asked to select from a set of questions, you will need to pick TWO.
Once you press SAVE, the Safety Lock will be activated. (Return to the page if you need to EDIT your questions) When you next login you will have to answer your safety lock questions, so ensure that you DO NOT forget them. |
Trusted Locations
From time to time it is important to RESET trusted locations, particularly if you have logged onto a public computer using your SAFETY LOCK questions. When you login to Habbo on a new device or a new IP address you get the option to set a location as TRUSTED. Doing this means that when you next login on that trusted location, you will not have to enter your Safety Lock answers. To do this you must login and answer your questions correctly. To RESET simply press the green button.

Privacy Settings
Staying in your settings, if you click ‘PRIVACY SETTINGS’ there are a few handy options to use. If you are being pestered by friend requests, ensure you Uncheck the box. You should only accept friend requests from people you trust, DO NOT accept random friend requests. You can also make your PROFILE invisible, this means they cannot view your up to date Habbo information on websites such as HabboWidgets (which are used to view a Habbo user’s account history (e.g. who they are friends with etc.) |
Reporting/Muting Users.
How do I report a problem? If a user is bullying/harassing you, asking you to reveal your password, or any other confidential information.. Etc. you are able to report the user. To do so click the user, an arrow will appear, clicking this arrow will bring up a small menu of options. Click REPORT. |
Tell us what happened.
After selecting from the sub-sections you will get to this screen. In as much detail as possible, you MUST describe what happened. The more detailed of a report, the faster Habbo can help you with your problem. When done, press Continue. Finally you will be asked to submit the request, remember that submitting false help tickets can result in a warning. Alternatively Mute a user. To do this click on them and click IGNORE. This means after that point whatever they type in a room you will not be able to see, and they will not see what you type either. To unmute a user, simply click LISTEN. |
